In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Wicked Witch.”
Write about evil: how you understand it (or don’t), what you think it means, or a way it’s manifested, either in the world at large or in your life.
Evil has existed since the beginning of time and it exists in many different forms. You have evil existing in all Government office across the world, there are strangers who commit evil acts, and monstrous acts from family members and/or friends, you can also say there are spiritual evil lurking behind a dark realm.
All though wickedness is just wrong across the board, I believe the worse evil act that can be committed is the one coming from a family member or someone you thought was a trusted friend. Intentionally hurting a family member with a horrible offensive act can devitalize life and can take years of healing for those hurting. It is even worse when those who created the heinous act has no remorse and claim innocence.
I have heard many say that good cannot exist without evil. I refuse to gravitate to this horrific thought. But giving the history of many stories, both past and present, it seems it has no desire to be put to rest and will continue to play its atrocious acts of destruction.
Well written and well said! You made some valid points.
Thank you.

That is as bad as it gets for many people. Sometimes people tend to focus on the grandiose incarnations of evil and forget that more often than not the evils we face everyday are these sorts of things.
I totally agree that the worst evil is that committed by a family member. I have some friends that could share shocking stories. Luckily, I have not had to experience this darkest evil from my family yet (although there have been a few close calls)….or maybe I am just too forgiving 🙂
Sometimes it is good to forgive, not for them, but for oneself. Although many a times, depending on situation, can be very difficult.
